UTMB HealthCare Systems is a nonprofit health care organization licensed as Health Maintenance Organization in Texas. At the heart of UTMB HealthCare Systems is the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and its hospitals, doctors and other dedicated health care professionals. Since 1890, UTMB's mission has been to provide high quality patient care, scholarly teaching, and innovative scientific investigation.
